Vaccinia virus

Vaccinia virus (VZV), human herpes simplex virus type 3 (lat. Human herpes virus simlex type 3) is a virus that causes common herpes infection. Since its first description in 1986, on February 26, to the present day, the frequency of registration of the disease caused by it has decreased slightly, but outbreaks of incidence occur, and in some cases even in children. The causative agent of the disease is herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-II).
