*The name "Vena maxillary" is pejorative and comes from the Latin "venter incisura" - an incision in the anterior part that was created by scraping the supraclavicular area with a chisel to prepare the site for dental prosthetics.*
The name reflects the manifestation of symptoms of unilateral hypoesthesia or anesthesia in the area of the ventral openings and the presence of this symptom in the anterior third of the floor of the mouth.
