The anterior ciliated veins, or ciliated veins, are one of the largest venous trunks in the front of the neck, arise from the internal jugular vein, and empty into the greater inferior vein and the middle cerebral vein. The right vein is often longer than the left and wider. In men, there is more than one right vein, and the veins are arranged in an arched manner; in women, one or two trunks are usually shorter, less often arched.
