Vein Gastrosplenic

**Gastrosplenic vein** is a branch of the superior vein of the epigastrium and spleen, flowing into the superior vena cava. Located in the retroperitoneal space, near the stomach and liver.

*There are two gastrosplenic veins*: the first (V. gastero lienalis), which flows directly into the superior vena cava or azygos or right common iliac vein; the second (V2 galliis) does not have direct communication with the first, but in some cases intertwines with it, forming V. gastrol
