This procedure should only be performed if there are any symptoms indicating back problems. It is important to note that venospondiomorphic examination is absolutely safe for human health and does not require any special preparatory period. But it is important to remember that it is necessary to properly prepare for the study in order to avoid some difficulties and misunderstandings. Before the procedure, about an hour, the patient must completely empty the intestines. A few days before the test, it is recommended to reduce your alcohol intake. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a violation of the accuracy of the procedure or the occurrence of complications. It is important to understand that the exact result of the study depends on the professionalism of the doctor and the accuracy of the technology, which allows obtaining the most detailed image of the vascular system. A study with a spiral X-ray apparatus allows you to present the results in a color image, which facilitates the observation process. However, the most accurate study is using CT or MRI, since only these methods can provide layer-by-layer three-dimensional images of the vessels and the entire spine.

It may be noted that “classical” x-ray and spiral x-ray do not allow reliably determine the dynamics of blood flow in the veins. A certain change in indicators is observed when ultrasonography is performed in real time, that is, visualization of the venous flow occurs during the study. Using this method, it is possible to obtain qualitative criteria for establishing the nature of blood flow disorders, such as congestion, hemorrhages, thrombosis, fibrotic changes.
