Description of the disease and therapy
The intercostal posterior vein (IPV) is an anatomical formation accompanying the subcostal artery. But sometimes, if an artery is damaged, it can become an independent source of bleeding and cause death. In such cases, combined injuries of the MVZ, subcostal artery and heart occur. According to medical statistics, arteriovenous conflict occurs in patients in 8 to 50% of all cases of cardiac injury to the lower part of the body.

Internal organs are located near large vessels. Statistics report the following pattern: trauma to internal organs leads to rupture of arteries and veins in 73% of cases, and simultaneous damage causes rupture of only vessels in 27%. A large percentage indicates the need for an in-depth study of the anatomical connections of the intercostal arteries, main and accessory.
