Shoulder Veins Deep

The veins of the shoulder are deep - they are a pair of large veins that run under the muscles in the shoulder joint. Veins are responsible for returning blood from the upper arms to the heart. As blood flows through the veins of the shoulder, it passes through many filters and valves, helping to prevent congestion and tissue hypoxia. Venous drainage from muscles is of medical importance and helps to avoid complications such as thrombosis and muscle atrophy. Deep pathology of the veins of the shoulder is a pathological condition characterized by destruction of the vein structure or is a consequence of a previous injury or disease.
