Vero-Pipecuronium (pipecuronium bromide) is a drug belonging to the group of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. It is used to provide muscle relaxation during surgery and endotracheal intubation. The drug is manufactured by Lance-Pharm in Russia and is available in the form of a lyophilized powder for the preparation of an intravenous solution containing 4 mg of the active substance.

The active substance - pipecuronium bromide - blocks the transmission of nerve impulses from nerve endings to muscle fibers, which leads to relaxation of skeletal muscles. When used correctly, Vero-Pipecuronium provides stable muscle relaxation, which allows you to perform operations without problems.

However, like any other drug, Vero-Pipecuronium has its contraindications and side effects. The drug is not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to bromide, myasthenia gravis, impaired liver and kidney function, heart failure and at the beginning of pregnancy. Side effects may include skeletal muscle paralysis, hypotension, bradycardia, hypertension, myocardial ischemia, thrombosis, atrial fibrillation, hypoglycemia, hyperkalemia, dyspnea, and skin rash.

In addition, Vero-Pipecuronium may interact with other medications, increasing or decreasing their effect. For example, the duration of muscle relaxation may increase when administered concomitantly with isoflurane, enflurane, thiobarbiturates, suxamethonium and fentanyl. On the other hand, glucocorticoids and cholinesterase inhibitors, such as neostigmine, may reduce the muscle relaxant effect of Vero-Pipecuronium.

In case of overdose of Vero-Pipecuronium, serious symptoms such as apnea, prolonged paralysis and hypotension may occur. Treatment includes mechanical ventilation and administration of cholinesterase inhibitors such as neostigmine along with IV atropine.

Overall, Vero-Pipecuronium is an effective drug for providing muscle relaxation during surgery and endotracheal intubation. However, its appointment should only be carried out by an experienced anesthesiologist and in the presence of appropriate conditions for safe anesthesia. Patients must be carefully selected and subjected to the necessary medical examinations to exclude the presence of contraindications and risks.

All procedures associated with the use of Vero-Pipecuronium should be carried out under the constant supervision of experienced medical personnel and should include monitoring of respiratory function, pulse and blood pressure. If side effects or complications occur, you must immediately stop the Vero-Pipecuronium infusion and take appropriate measures.

Overall, Vero-Pipecuronium is an important drug for providing safe and effective anesthesia during surgery. However, its use should be limited to medical purposes only and under the strict supervision of experienced medical personnel.
