Vero-Sulpiride is a drug that belongs to the group of antipsychotics - substituted benzamides. It is produced in Russia by Veropharm and the Belgorod branch. The international name of this drug is Sulpiride. The drug is also known under such synonyms as Betamak T100, Betamak T200, Betamak T50, Betamax, Dogmatil, Prosulpin, Eglek and Eglonil.

Dosage forms of Vero-Sulpiride include 200 mg and 50 mg capsules, as well as 50 mg/ml injection solution. The active substance is sulpiride.

The drug is used to treat schizophrenia, including sluggish forms accompanied by lethargy and lethargy, acute and chronic psychoses, gastric and duodenal ulcers, migraines, dizziness, post-traumatic encephalopathy, as well as for the correction of behavioral disorders in children.

Contraindications to the use of Vero-Sulpiride include hypersensitivity, pheochromocytoma, hypertension, as well as states of anxiety and psychomotor agitation.

Sulpiride is usually well tolerated, but pyramidal disorders, agitation, sleep disturbances, increased blood pressure, menstrual irregularities and impotence may occur. In addition, cases of galactorrhea and gynecomastia have been described.

The interaction of Vero-Sulpiride with other drugs can lead to an increased effect of morphine derivatives, histamine H1 blockers, barbiturates, benzodiazepines and alcohol. Antihypertensive drugs increase the likelihood of developing orthostatic hypotension. Incompatibility with levodopa may lead to mutual antagonism. Antacids containing magnesium and aluminum hydroxide reduce bioavailability.

There is no evidence of an overdose of Vero-Sulpiride. However, when taking the drug in large doses, side effects are possible that may require medical attention.

With caution, Vero-Sulpiride is prescribed to patients with renal failure, epilepsy, parkinsonism, the elderly and newborns, as well as people working with potentially dangerous mechanisms or driving vehicles.

The dosage of Vero-Sulpiride and the regimen should be prescribed individually depending on the indications and characteristics of the patient. Typically, for the treatment of mental disorders, the drug is prescribed at a dose of 100-200 mg two to three times a day. For the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, the dose can reach 600 mg per day, divided into 2-3 doses.
