Simian Vacuolating Virus

Simian vacuolation virus (OV-40), also known as Simian vacuolation fever virus, is a recently discovered pathogenic virus that causes fever and various infectious manifestations in monkeys. It is a new strain in the coronavirus family. The epidemiology of this virus is not yet fully understood, however, it may be especially dangerous for humans, since its effect on the human body has not previously been identified. It should also be noted that there are only a few known cases of simian vacuolation fever virus infection in humans, so it is possible that the virus has very little chance of being transmitted
