Voronova Symptom

Voronov, Sergey Leonidovich, is a neurologist, one of the authors of the Voronov symptom to determine the combined lesion of the cerebellopontine angle, anterior spinal cord and cerebellum. With his interpretation of this sign and related observations of patients during injury and who underwent surgery to cut the posterior column connecting the spinal cord and several of its branches in the process of surgical prevention of orthostatic collapse. This phenomenon was first described by S.L. Voronov in 1952, and then refined together with O.A. Koreshkov during 1960 for cases of functional failure in the presence of a number of neurosurgical signs of polyradicular spinal injuries. The scientist believes that the study of all mentioned cranial segments is extremely important in the development of surgical oncology in patients with multiple cancer metastases.
