Cushing's ulcer is a pathological condition of the skin and subcutaneous tissue that occurs when there is an excess amount of glucocorticosteroids (hormones) in the body. It is one of the most common skin diseases and occurs due to dysfunction of the adrenal glands, pituitary gland or hypothalamus. The causes of Cushing's ulcers can vary. These include chronic skin diseases, external influences, taking medications and others.
