Binge False

Pseudodipsomania is a form of dissociative (schizophrenic) disorder when a person is in an artificial coma caused by mental causes, but continues to perceive what is happening “outside” critically. During pseudodipsomania, the patient, with outside help, takes a shower, uses the toilet and talks, experiences hunger, drives, etc., that is, demonstrates deliberately realistic behavior - like in a movie. However, in his experiences, the memories of these actions are usually distorted - either they are mixed with "false" memories of events that never actually happened, or they are presented in the form of dreams. He fails to rationally assess his own state, and he cannot distinguish the “false” from the “real.” In communicating with him, it is very difficult to get him to realize his own powerlessness and the fact that he avoids any opportunity to find himself in a situation that reminds him of his illness. Patients often talk about their conditions as if they have no problems, but their behavior does not correspond to this convincing mimicry.
