The valve of morganii or "anal valve" is a device that is used to control the activity of the lower parts of the large intestine. Opening and closing the valve helps regulate peristalsis and promotes more proper passage of contents through the lower digestive tract.
The Morguli valve is used for diseases of the large and lower intestines. This could be constipation, intestinal obstruction, anal fissure or hemorrhoids. Within the intestine, there is a connection between the lower intestine and the rectum through the so-called anal valve. In a healthy person, this valve opens and closes easily, allowing contents to pass through it unhindered. However, if muscle tone changes or a health problem arises, for example, in the presence of an intestinal tumor or adhesions in the abdominal cavity, the operation of the valve is disrupted. As a result of this, the same food may stop being produced, or, on the contrary, the products that enter the intestines are retained there.
