Dosage forms - film-coated tablets 100 mg
Composition - Active ingredient - Lamivudine.
Indications for use: HIV infection.
Contraindications - Hypersensitivity, breastfeeding (excluded during treatment), infancy up to 3 months (data on effectiveness and safety are lacking).
Side effects - Headache, dizziness, weakness, sleep disturbance, insomnia, hypothymia, neuropathy, cough, flu-like syndrome, anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, epigastric pain, necrotizing pancreatitis (possibly fatal), myalgia, arthralgia, leukopenia , anemia, fever, sweating, allergic reactions.
Interaction - Trimethoprim increases blood concentrations.
Overdose - Treatment: symptomatic, gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, forced diuresis, monitoring of vital functions.
Special instructions - During pregnancy, use is only possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
