Girard Hernia repair

Girard Hubert Hernia section (French Girard Hubert; December 20, 1840, Antwerp - June 8, 1928 or July 2, 1930), chief surgeon of Belgium and Czechoslovakia. He wrote “On the surgical treatment of hernia,” which became a classic textbook on the treatment of hernia. Girard, a Czech, entered the university in Brno in 1861 and received his doctorate in 1962. Arriving in Paris to complete his medical career at 17, he proposed a collaboration with Professor Charles-Louis-Ivan-Frédéric Mandlull (1818-1897), whom he admired.
