Review

For some reason, I subconsciously trust and respect the Avene brand, although before purchasing this cream I tried only 2 of their products - thermal water and a light day cream with SPF (hydrance which is optimal). In general, there were no complaints about them, so I decided to spend “free” certificates in one of the online stores, including on this cream. The following came out of this.

Initially, I really liked the packaging - cute, convenient, hygienic (with a dispenser, that is). BUT: after two weeks of use, my bottle fell off the dressing table (“a mouse ran and wagged its tail,” yeah) and the dispenser immediately came to an end! No matter how you disassemble and reassemble it, well, that is, you can reassemble it, but it will not work. I'm shocked. One fall, from a height of no more than 40 cm, onto a regular laminate and such a breakdown. In general, I am dissatisfied with the quality of the packaging, that's a fact.

Accordingly, the process of using the cream since then has not brought much pleasure, since it stretches and is not comfortable - I take an orange stick, wipe it with tonic/micellar/water, take out the cream, transfer it to my fingers, transfer it to the skin around the eyes, wipe the orange stick, and I also have to do not forget to close the bottle in this entire sequence.(((

Well, enough about the sad stuff.

The cream itself is yellowish in color, not thick or greasy, even watery. I don’t feel the smell at all (or maybe it has dissipated, with the bottle half-opened). It spreads well as it is watery and practically non-sticky. It feels like it is quickly absorbed, but without applying concealer or powder, the skin under the eyes is a little shiny (wet shine, lasts about 20 minutes exactly).

I use the cream twice a day, it is suitable both under makeup and at night without causing swelling. There’s really no swelling, just apply as much as you like and at least a minute before bedtime. I especially like this, yes.)

Regarding the effect. I don’t see any drastic changes (I was hoping to miraculously reduce the slanting wrinkles right under the eyes); unfortunately, I didn’t take “before” photos, so I myself can’t understand whether the cream had an effect on them or not. But I can note that the crow’s feet that appeared earlier after sleep no longer appear, and I’m definitely happy about that.)

The cream contains retinaldehyde (providing anti-aging effects) and pretocopheryl (antioxidant) and the manufacturer recommends that you begin use carefully (even every other day at first), do an allergy test and use sunscreen. The cream did not cause any negative reactions for me, I used it immediately every day, but now I use sunscreen (by the way, the same brand) every day - without it, freckles immediately appear under my eyes.

And I almost forgot, the cream is positioned not only for the eyes, but also for the lip contour. But I’m not an adviser here, I don’t see the point in such difficulties, serum + face cream and lip balms work for me in this area.

Overall, I like the cream, but I'm deducting a point mostly for the flimsiness of the packaging. But I’m not sure about repeating the purchase, in any case, after finishing this bottle I’ll definitely try something else, and then we’ll see, I don’t rule out returning to this product either.

Application:
Apply to the area around the eyes once a day (preferably in the evening). In case of particularly sensitive skin, it is recommended to use the cream every other day to avoid tingling and redness.

Quickly absorbed, moisturizes, hypoallergenic, economical.

I'm 25 and have dry skin. Before this cream, I used Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream, which only required hydration, which it did well. But, I must admit that simple moisturizing is not enough for me, the skin of my eyelids is not ideal, wrinkles have already appeared. I decided on Avene Ysteal + Eye Contour Cream. The cream has a convenient packaging with a dispenser, which allows you to carefully squeeze out the required amount, which is economical. The texture of the cream is not thick, it spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, does not leave a film, and does not tighten the skin. I don’t believe that the cream can completely smooth out wrinkles, so I’m happy that no new ones appeared, and the existing ones did not become deeper, and maybe even became less noticeable. I think the cream does its job. I bought it last winter, but after reading the instructions, I learned that it cannot be used during pregnancy, so I had to put it off until September. By the way, it is also not recommended to apply it in the morning and evening, but at first it is recommended to apply it every other day. So it's a good idea to read the instructions before use!

It dried out the skin around the eyes, aggravated fine wrinkles and provoked the appearance of new ones.

I respect and love Mark Aven very much, but it didn’t work out for me with this cream around the eyelids. On the 3rd day of use (applied morning and evening), my skin began to itch. After a few more days, terrible peeling began, and when applying the cream, very unpleasant sensations arose - burning, itching. When I looked closer at the skin around my eyelids, I saw that the network of wrinkles had expanded, the wrinkles began to look like creases. I canceled the cream, later tried to give it a second chance - the same reaction. I gave the cream to my husband - everything suited him perfectly. Apparently this is my individual reaction.

I received the entire line of Isteal creams as a gift from a friend for her 30th birthday. I complained to her about emerging skin problems. Fine expression lines, dark circles under the eyes, uneven complexion. She used these products herself and was satisfied. So she decided to please me too. The cream turned out to be a truly worthy gift. The packaging, like all cosmetics, is in the Avene style. The bottle is convenient, cylindrical in shape, made of thick plastic. Convenient dispenser. Dispenses exactly as much cream as needed. The consistency of the cream is medium thick, closer to oily, absorbs well and does not leave a film. It has a characteristic Avenov smell and peach color. Perfectly refreshes the skin and evens out the color. Wrinkles disappear in just a week. The look becomes more open and rested. However, I would like to note that it is not suitable when wearing contact lenses (which you can sleep in). You need to either remove your lenses at night or use glasses while using the cream.
