Anti-fatigue cream-gel for the skin around the eyes EYE REVIVE BEAUTY FLASH

Chemical composition:

  1. Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin - emollient, solvent, surfactant and humectant.
  2. Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract - olive oil. Rich in essential fatty acids such as oleic, palmitic, linolenic. Has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties.
  3. Caprylic/Capric Triglycer >high quality emollient, film former, emulsion thickener, skin matte silicon, preservative.
  4. Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Protein - wheat proteins containing antioxidants.
  5. Titanium Diox >emulsion thickener, whitening agent, physical sunscreen filter.
  6. Sodium Diox >refers to alkalis, is used to equalize the pH of a solution, as a surfactant and solvent, and in high concentrations irritates the skin.
  7. Polyacrylam belongs to a large group of film-forming agents. Forms a plastic film on the surface of the skin that binds and retains water. Used in moisturizers and hair care products.
  8. C13-14 Isoparaffin is a product of petroleum refining, it is an emulsifier and “thickening” agent, that is, it creates the density and oiliness of the solution. Safe for skin.
  9. Tetrasodium EDTA is a chelating agent used to protect metals from mixing with other cream components.
  10. Methylparaben, Caprylyl Glycol - preservatives.
  11. Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract - green tea extract (camellia). A well-known antioxidant, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and protects the skin from ultraviolet damage. Suppresses the growth of cancer cells.
  12. Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract - rose water or rose hip petal water, antioxidant, emollient. "Good" natural ingredient.
  13. Laureth-7 is a form of laurel fatty alcohol, obtained from coconut oil. Emollient, emulsifier. NON-COMEDOGENIC!
  14. Butylparaben, Ethylparaben - preservatives.
  15. Sodium Polyacrylate - a synthetic polymer with diverse functions - forms a water-repellent film, stabilizes and thickens emulsion, adsorbent, emollient. Refers to "good" ingredients.
  16. Mannitol is a sugar derived from fructose. Antioxidant. In medicine it is used as a decongestant and a diuretic. When applied to the skin it works as a water-binding component.
  17. Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben - preservatives.
  18. Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein - soluble wheat proteins, antioxidant.
  19. Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate is a mixture of propylene glycol and capric acid (a plant-based fatty acid). An auxiliary ingredient that promotes the formation of a gel texture. "Good" ingredient.
  20. Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract - white water lily extract - is rich in antioxidants. In in vitro experiments (in laboratory conditions) carried out with a culture of skin fibroblasts, collagen fibers are protected from destruction.
  21. Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Extract - parsley extract. An auxiliary ingredient in cosmetics that has a weak whitening effect.

Conclusion:

The only point in the advertisement that I absolutely agree with is that this gel “does not replace any other product Clarins eye care«.

Absolutely standard moisturizer for dry skin around eyes.

Multi-Régénérante Regenerating Eye Serum

EXTRA-FIRMING EYE CONTOUR SERUM

Let's be curious about what they promise us on the company's website Clarins:

Serum for skin care around the eyes after 40 years.
Reduces dark circles and swelling, has a tightening effect, restores youth and expressiveness to your look.

Packaging form: 15 ml bottle.

Chemical composition:

  1. Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, PEG-8, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Silica, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydrox >the first 14 ingredients form the basis of the serum - these are standard emollients, humectants, emulsion thickeners, etc. - they DO NOT have any significant effect on the skin, do not counteract the aging process of the skin in any way, they simply create a very pleasant product with the consistency of a serum.
  2. Hibiscus Esculentus Seed Extract - hibiscus seed extract. Contains high concentrations of vitamin E and other fat-soluble antioxidants. Sepal extract is rich in vitamin C, anthocyanidins, and polyphenols. Some types of hibiscus have wound-healing properties, protect the skin from sun damage, and reduce melanin production. But the entire plant has a strong odor and is a natural fragrance, and therefore a potential skin irritant. Therefore, it cannot be included in the top of the best ingredients.
  3. Sodium Polyacrylate - a synthetic polymer with diverse functions - forms a water-repellent film, stabilizes and thickens emulsion, adsorbent, emollient. Refers to "good" ingredients.
  4. Caffeine is an alkaloid isolated from coffee, tea, and cola nuts. It has a tonic effect, improves microcirculation, and reduces tissue swelling. It stimulates the breakdown of fat, which is why it is often included in cellulite correction products.
  5. Titanium Dioxide is one of the best cosmetic ingredients, titanium dioxide. It is used as an emulsion thickener, a whitening component that improves the application of cream, and as a physical sun filter. In foundation it is used as a coloring pigment.

Conclusion:

The serum will indeed provide a feeling of skin lifting due to the high concentration of film-forming ingredients, but, alas, this will not be “real” lifting, but only tension of the skin due to the film.

Silicon will create a matte effect, but the skin will appear drier and wrinkles will be more visible.

Unfortunately, this product does not contain any ingredients that could regenerate and tone the skin; there will be no lifting.

Multi-Régénérante Regenerating balm for the skin around the eyes

EXTRA-FIRMING EYE CONTOUR CREAM

On the site Clarins everything is written very well:

We fight wrinkles and signs of fatigue around the eyes! We return beauty and youth to the look!

Packaging form: 15 ml jar.

Chemical composition:

  1. Octyldodecanol is an emulsifier that imparts “opacity” to the product and improves the glide of the drug over the skin. "Good" ingredient.
  2. Glycerin is a humectant.
  3. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch - rice starch, thickener.
  4. Propylene Glycol, PEG-8, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyacrylam >humectants and solvents. Surfactants, emulsion thickeners.
  5. Tocopheryl Acetate - vitamin E, antioxidant.
  6. C13-14 Isoparaffin, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Biosacchar >emollient, preservative, non-toxic emulsion stabilizer, preservative again, synthetic polymer that creates a water-repellent film, humectant, emollient.
  7. Plantago Ovata Seed Extract - Indian plantain seed extract. It has a bactericidal, wound-healing, astringent effect. Binds water molecules, moisturizes the skin.

Conclusion:

I’m just very interested in what ingredients Clarins will “restore beauty and youth to the look”? It seems that the company's chemists are still using the formulas of the last century!

This water-soluble lightweight cream will tighten the skin due to rice starch and film-forming agents, but this is just an illusion, not lifting!

Definitely not suitable for dry skin, wrinkles will become even more noticeable.

All plant extracts with antioxidants are located at the bottom of the list; they simply cannot have any effect on the aging process of the skin.

The price for such a small amount of a very “average” cream in composition is absurdly high.

Analyzing the composition of funds according to skin care around the eyes, I came to the conclusion that it is better not to use them at all. Judge for yourself - there are no antioxidants or vitamins in sufficient concentration, not a single cream contains a sunscreen, a very low concentration of regenerating components that improve connections between cells and restore the skin barrier.

There is nothing in these products that distinguishes them from facial skin care creams; they are even worse in composition. So if you are a fan of the company Clarins, you can safely save money around eyes.

Despite the oily skin type on my face, the skin around my eyes is dry and thin, which needs regular nourishment. In addition, by the age of 24-25, expression lines began to appear and I realized that it was time to look for moisturizers without an anti-aging effect that would slow down the “cutting” of my emotions into my face. At moments of such searches, I realize the importance of the work of girls who, with their efforts, fill the pages of any of our sites with invaluable information about their own experience.
Therefore, I hope that my reviews will help someone in choosing skincare products.

Clarins Eye Contour Balm – Balm for skin care around the eyes

As usual, first about the form, and only then about the essence

The cream is placed in a high-quality soft tube measuring 20 ml, the spout does not “spit”. The cream is white in color, the consistency is soft, not dense, slightly liquid, very light.

So, let's go over the main properties of Clarence cream:

Nutrition and hydration: average... when the cream is applied to the eyelid and skin under the eyes, there is both hydration and well-grooming. But the effect is not cumulative, 5 minutes after washing, the skin begins to tighten and peel, of course heating and hard water make themselves felt, but this has never happened to me before, I would like a prolonged effect and this is the main disadvantage of the cream.

Makeup Compatibility: When applying decorative cosmetics after 15 minutes from the moment of applying the cream, the concealer (I have MUFE) creases a little, and the shadows (UD, Dior) last less long than without it, obviously the eyelid becomes oily faster.

Fighting wrinkles: not noticed.

Absorbency: For such a light cream, I expected better absorption; you need to gently rub it into the skin for a minute or apply evenly to the skin around the eyes and let it absorb for 5 minutes.

Eye tolerance: My sensitive eyes took this cream well, no redness or discomfort.

Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream SPF 15 – Cream for the eye area “Wild Rose”

The cream is placed in a soft tube measuring 15 ml, the spout does not “spit”. Ivory-colored cream, the smell of a real blooming rose, the consistency is soft, denser than Clarens.
So, let's go over the main properties of Korres cream:

Nutrition and hydration: good... the cream has a prolonged effect, the skin does not peel off when washed, the cream nourishes the skin around the eyes well. But! For me, a huge minus was the manufacturer’s prohibition in the instructions on applying the cream to the moving eyelid, but there my skin stretches when applying decorative cosmetics and requires no less moisturizing than the skin under the eyes. For me, such partial care is simply unacceptable.

Makeup Compatibility: When applying decorative cosmetics after 15 minutes from the moment of applying the cream, the concealer (I have MUFE) did not crease, and the durability of the shadows (UD, Dior) did not change.

Fighting wrinkles: wrinkles are smoothed out a little, due to a certain shimmer (some would even call it a dewy finish), the wrinkles are less noticeable.

Absorbency: Since the cream is thick, I didn’t expect quick absorption; you just need to gently rub it into the skin for a minute or apply evenly to the skin around the eyes and let it absorb for about 5 minutes.

Eye tolerance: I have sensitive eyes, and they are tested every day by the computer, the wind, glasses, and cream is the last thing I expect harm from. But no matter how I tried, we couldn’t get along with this cream; after applying it only to the skin under the eyes, the eyes could turn a little red, and if the cream accidentally got into the eyes themselves, it would get a little hot, I had to blink for half a minute.

In addition, I will say that if the cream accidentally got on the skin of my face, where there are pores and sebaceous glands, I got pimples like this, and this in turn created unnecessary cosmetic troubles and spoiled my mood.

Grade: 3

In conclusion, I will say that both creams did not fully meet my expectations; the Darphin Anti-Fatigue Smoothing Eye Gel cream, which I wrote about earlier, turned out to be much better, but light for the winter season. So I’m still looking for a deeply nourishing “winter” cream for young eye skin... and what do you use?

The new Clarins Multi-Active Yeux promises to relieve thirty-year-old women from wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes. Will it help those older and younger? Olya T& and Masha B are checking.
Multi-Active Yeux works on the first lines around the eyes, dark circles from stress (not pigmentation) and puffiness that is caused by fatigue and lack of sleep, not ptosis. Extracts of teasel and horse chestnut should help prevent bruises: they stimulate microcirculation and prevent red blood cells from accumulating in the tissues, which cause the skin to darken. Reflective particles provide an instant visual effect, and caffeine fights swelling. A cooling metal tip serves the same purpose: after applying the cream (this can be done with your fingers), you need to walk the iron end along the eyelids from the inner corner of the eye to the outer one.

REVIEWS:

Olya (41 years old, the skin around the eyes is normal, there are small wrinkles and swelling): “I never part with this tube: it’s small, convenient, and fits in any cosmetic bag. I use it when my eyes are swollen (it doesn’t matter why - I cried, I’m tired, I rubbed it, the main thing is that it happens often) - I just press the cold metal tip to my eyelids. The swelling immediately decreases, and in general it’s just pleasant. It’s cool that the product is not applied through the tip itself, but from a hole nearby, that is, you don’t have to worry that the cream will accidentally squeeze out and smear the concealer or shadows. The cream itself is also excellent - light, non-sticky, non-greasy and with good photoshop skills. I immediately see the difference “before” and “after”: the look becomes more fresh. I can’t say anything about long-term consequences yet - first you need to use the entire tube. But so far I really like everything.”

Masha (29 years old, the skin around the eyes is dry, there are barely noticeable wrinkles and bruises):

“Nice gel: light, non-greasy, absorbs quickly. Mother-of-pearl particles give a barely noticeable light reflection. True, I don’t fully understand this trick, because my dark circles under my eyes still need to be covered with concealer or corrector.

The applicator is very successful: on one side the product is squeezed out, and on the other there is a metal tip for massage. So nice and cool. Now in the mornings I hang out in the bathroom even longer, because how can I not move them around my eyes more?

The cream moisturizes well and combines with other products. Have your wrinkles become smaller? I’m not sure - they are barely noticeable anyway, but I don’t have swelling. But if you’re about thirty and suddenly feel like it’s time to start using something with the “anti-aging” prefix, Multi-Active Yeux is right on point.”
