For any woman, taking care of herself is a pleasant responsibility, and well-groomed skin, hair and nails give self-confidence and attract others. Most people buy cosmetics in specialized stores or hypermarkets. However, we rarely pay attention to pharmaceutical cosmetics, although they not only perform a decorative function, but also care for and sometimes even heal our body.

Main features of medicinal products

Innovative technologies have also reached the sphere of beauty, namely cosmetics, creating such a hybrid as cosmoceuticals. Pharmacy cosmetics help solve both minor temporary defects and more serious diseases and skin problems.

These products contain active natural ingredients, and harmful parabens, sulfates and dyes are excluded. Innovative technologies are used for production.

They help quickly heal and treat the skin, and also as a preventive measure.

Pharmacy cosmetics, like any product from a pharmacy, are subject to high quality requirements, which encourages manufacturers to take their products and consumers more seriously. At the same time, medicinal cosmetics:

  1. treats the skin in deep layers
  2. certified products that have confirmed their effectiveness in laboratory conditions
  3. helps reduce the volume of medications used
  4. provides long-term results
  5. high quality raw materials are used
  6. can be used as an independent medicine or complement treatment.

Pharmacy cosmetics with their own exceptional composition, produced using innovative technologies, has a number of advantages over conventional ones:

  1. targets specific skin problems
  2. performs a decorative function together with a medicinal one
  3. the price of such cosmetics includes the costs of clinical research and new developments
  4. the composition includes enzymes that act at the cellular level, as well as vitamins and antioxidants.

Leading brands are constantly expanding their product line to satisfy any applicant's requirements. Well-known companies offer the following types and areas of products:

Pharmacy and conventional products: the difference

People with sensitive skin are well aware of the problem of selecting cosmetics even in specialized stores. For various skin diseases, pharmaceutical cosmetics have an excellent therapeutic effect, being hypoallergenic. The main advantages of such products:

  1. affects the deeper layers of the epidermis
  2. intensive skin hydration
  3. contains substances used in medicines.

Products from top brands are distinguished by the fact that all ingredients of pharmaceutical products are subject to thorough pre-cleaning. Effectiveness is achieved thanks to:

  5. prevention of early skin aging
  6. shows excellent results in the fight against skin problems (pimples, blackheads, rashes, etc.).

These properties and healing effects explain the rapid growth in popularity of these new cosmetic products.

Popularity rating of medicinal products

Well-known companies compete for the palm, developing more and more new formulas and expanding the product range, which is already sold almost everywhere. Therefore, the popularity rating of pharmacy cosmetics will be of interest to those who are looking for the opportunity to choose the best for themselves.

Some cosmetic brands are trying to capture not only the perfume market, but also the pharmaceutical market. Therefore, cosmetics have now appeared in pharmacies, the brands of which have already gained popularity. Three main companies occupy constant leading positions:

The most effective medical cosmetics for the face in pharmacies are presented by European companies. To produce it, it is necessary to use laboratories, equipment for purifying raw materials, and conduct expensive clinical trials.

In this connection, Russian companies cannot yet compete with the sales leaders.

Good afternoon In this post I would like to give a brief overview of those brands that are medicinal and are available in almost all pharmacies. My own experience pushed me to this. Since I have very sensitive allergic skin, which is also problematic and also photosensitivity. Of course, I went to the pharmacy to buy skincare products, and there were a variety of brands there. It was very difficult to navigate all this, everything seemed to be “pharmacy”, but, nevertheless, everything was different. As a result, I tried a very large number of different products from each brand, which I will discuss below.
When creating this post, I wanted to get away from the clichés “good/bad”, “good cosmetics/bad cosmetics”. For me, there are no bad brands, all brands are good There are brands that suited or didn’t suit me. Since I was convinced thatsensitive skin can react in any way to anything at any time, and, unfortunately, this does not at all depend on whether the cream is new or you have been using it for a long time, whether it is ideal for your girlfriend or mother. Each of us is unique, and each of us has our own very special skin. I hope my post will be useful to someone. So let's get started.
All pharmacy cosmetics, in my opinion, can be divided into three large sections:

My classification does not include anti-aging products, personal care products, hair care and body contouring products. Otherwise the post would be endless. If there is interest, then in the future I can tell you about them or about any range in more detail. I don’t claim to be 100% true, since the information from the manufacturers’ websites was presented from my point of view, this is my view of the brands presented in the pharmacy.
Now some of my personal impressions about them. As I already said, I can safely say that in 5 years I have tried everything that is sold in the pharmacy. Of course, from what was suitable for the problem and age. And anti-aging products were tested on our beloved mother. I was looking for the perfect products to care for very sensitive problem skin. I think that The only option for people with the same problems as me is to try, try and try again. You never know what to expect with sensitive skin. So some hypoallergenic products are not suitable for me, but some Lierak products are perfect! It turned out that I found my favorites in almost every brand. So let's start from the beginning.
IN Vichy – my favorite Normaderm line, I love the cleansing gel and toner in it. This toner is probably my favorite of all for combination to oily skin. From it I observed the best effect of narrowing pores and smoothing out the skin texture. I like that it has a slightly matte finish without being powdery. I really like Normaderm scrub and Normaderm night. The scrub is good in all respects: price, quality, result. I like the texture of night Normaderm: the cream is very light and at the same time the skin becomes velvety without the feeling of a greasy film. (By the way, this cream has one feature - in the morning the face shines with an oily sheen. This is the result of its work - it forces sebum to come out and not accumulate inside overnight. In principle, there are no problems with this - I washed my face in the morning and that’s it. I also like the scrub from the company Merck, but the measure contains 50 ml, and the normaderm contains 200 ml, and the price is the same. For efficiency reasons, I prefer the latter.
Aqualia Thermal Light helps when the skin becomes dehydrated, I apply it periodically under Efaclar K or Duo. I really like its new texture, very soft and pleasant.
My favorite treatment for every day is Efaklar K and Efaklar AI, if everything is bad, I switch to Efaklar Duo (but I still apply Efaklar AI locally on top - it’s more effective, although consultants do not recommend it, but this is my personal discovery). IN La Roche-Posay I love the soothing toner and moisturizing mask. After the tonic and mask, the skin is very comfortable, it is really moisturized and soothed, there are no other words. Their Toleran line is irreplaceable for me during an exacerbation of allergies, especially Toleran Ultra. True, the texture is a bit thick for oily skin, but it soothes the skin, relieves itching, and really takes 5-10 minutes, and for that I’m ready to forgive everything. (Previously, I generally applied Atoderm ROzinc, it was for extremely dry skin, but it relieved the itching perfectly.)
IN Uriage I love Tolederm water and Isaac sunscreen. It is very light for a sunscreen, unlike the insanely thick Aven emulsion, which gave me comedones all over my face.
IN Aven — Klinans favorite mask. In terms of cleansing, it is not very good, but it evens out the skin texture perfectly, this is visible even after the first application.
IN Ducret And Bioderma Unfortunately, nothing suited me - I don’t like the textures at all, they don’t suit my skin, not even a single line (except for Atoderm ROzinc, which I eventually abandoned).
IN SkinCuticals For me the best moisturizing serum in the world. The only thing that confuses me is the price. You only need a small drop, about the size of a pea, to apply it all over your face, so it lasts for a long time, about 5 months. And it instantly gives you an incomparable feeling of comfort.
IN Lierak – my favorite Clarte cleansing mask. It perfectly cleanses blackheads from the 1st time (the rest of the masks have to be applied 2 times to perfectly clean the pores). It has a very pleasant texture, a pleasant smell and heats up a little during action. But this makes it even better you feel a pleasant warmth on your face. This mask also has its own peculiarity - it cannot be left on for more than 15 minutes, otherwise the face will acquire an earthy-green tint, and then nothing can wash it off (it happened that I covered my complexion with foundation). Therefore, my advice is to read the instructions for use before use, not after.
I also really like the Hydrochrono line from this brand, but, unfortunately, I became allergic to the emulsion, although I had used it before, and the balm I used in the coldest winters clogged all the pores, and comedones appeared all over my face, even where there never were. I treated my skin for three months after a week of use.
At the mark Nux I like the Rev de Miel body scrub, and more specifically the fragrance and softness of the skin after using it.
I love the Sanaflor brand very dearly. My favorites are rose and lavender floral waters. I like that the company is natural and does not contain synthetic fragrances. Rose flower water has the delicate aroma of real roses from the garden, and not the synthetic “rose” fragrance like in Nyux. Lavender flower water soothes oily skin, makes it matte, and heals the pores themselves. The effect is noticeable after the first week of use.
I can go on and on about my favorite cosmetics for hours, so let's sum it up.
My tips for people with sensitive skin
1. Try all the products that interest you yourself. Of course, you need to listen to reviews, but only you yourself will understand whether this remedy is right for you or not.
2. Pay attention to the texture of the product. Choose only those products that are created for your skin type and have direct instructions on solving the problem that bothers you. (That is, there is no point in expecting that an anti-rosacea cream for dry skin will cure acne and get rid of blackheads. And a nourishing cream for very dry skin, which stimulates the production of sebum, will relieve dehydration in oily, problem skin.)
3. Pay attention to which category a particular brand belongs to. If you are a lover of natural cosmetics, choose natural ones. If you often have allergies - hypoallergenic. (In the reviews, I read a girl’s dissatisfaction that the hydraphase mask contains only mineral oils and glycerin. Natural oils or plant extracts are very difficult to find in hypoallergenic cosmetics. Because the same orange essential oil will most likely cause a violent reaction on the skin in an allergic person. For that, all these components can be found from the company Nux, Leyrak and Sanoflor.)
Carefully study the packaging, go to the manufacturer’s websites and then there is a high probability that you will be satisfied with your choice.
4. If it happens that it is difficult for you to figure out what is happening to your skin, contact a good, competent specialist, the main thing in this matter is to find him.
I wish you all good luck!

It’s unlikely that the first thing you do is go to the pharmacy to replenish your makeup bag. It may not be your first destination during beauty shopping, but it’s still worth a look - it sells special, medicinal cosmetics that are especially effective in dealing with various kinds of cosmetological and dermatological problems and which you can trust with peace of mind to care for. with your skin.

Cosmo recommends

For knowledgeable beautyholics, going to the pharmacy to buy Bioderma products is one of the important and enjoyable parts of traveling to France. Here, the Bioderma laboratory was created back in 1978, but then, “at the dawn” of its existence, it mostly produced only bases for medicines. Now Bioderma’s “profile” is cosmetics that save problematic skin and treat skin diseases, so in some cases it can even be prescribed by a doctor. Different lines of Bioderma products fight various kinds of troubles: Sebium - with excessive oily skin and acne, Hydrabio - with skin dehydration, WO - with pigmentation, and Photoderm, for example, protects against the harmful effects of UV rays. There are 8 such lines in total. But the excellent proven Bioderma products are purchased not only for medicinal purposes. Girls with healthy skin sometimes buy dozens of bottles of Sensibio H2O micellar, which, perhaps, has no equal in removing eye makeup. Sebium mattifying cream, which removes oily shine and serves as an excellent base for makeup, as well as Hydrabio light and rich creams, which quickly restore moisture to the skin, are popular.

Few brands can boast a history as rich and stretching back centuries as La Roche-Posay. The same name as the brand is the name of the source, which, according to legend, was discovered back in the 14th century by the French military leader Bertrand du Guesclin and the water from which is still used in the brand’s cosmetics. Thermal water from the La Roche-Posay spring has been treating people for skin diseases for centuries, and now it takes care of facial beauty as part of skin care products. It is rich in the trace element selenium, which is an antioxidant. It protects the skin from free radicals, preventing premature aging, and also moisturizes and soothes. Also, thanks to thermal water, the brand's products are suitable for sensitive skin. They replenish their cosmetic bag with La Roche-Posay products not only for medicinal purposes, but also out of simple care for their skin. La Roche-Posay thermal water in separate bottles refreshes the skin during the summer heat. In addition, the La Roche-Posay brand became the creator of the first BB cream for sensitive skin and also included its thermal water in its composition.

Sleeping against wrinkles: 10 simple rules

The Saint Odile spring in the French village of Avene, the water from which is used in Avene brand products, was discovered several centuries earlier - in the 18th century. It is noteworthy that it was at this source that the very first balneological resort was built in 1743. Now thermal water from Saint Odile treats the skin of people from all over the world, “poured” into Avene bottles. Interestingly, the brand’s products contain at least 55% of this healing water. Its main task is to soothe, soften the skin, and relieve irritation. Avene produces thermal water separately - in the form of a spray, which is indispensable in hot summer weather, as well as a lot of products for especially sensitive skin. Since she is prone to irritation, the soothing properties of Avene water are most beneficial for her.

The power of thermal water is also used by the French brand Vichy, sold only in pharmacies. Prosper Haller and Georges Guerin, a doctor and businessman, laid its “foundation” back in 1931, deciding to use thermal water from a spring near the city of Vichy in the production of skin care products. It contains 15 mineral substances that have an extremely beneficial effect on the skin - they improve its protective properties and save it from the effects of free radicals. Since its founding, the brand has reminded women: they need to take care of their skin because it reflects the health of the body it is not just a shell, but a vital organ. Vichy products have not only medicinal properties. They also help cope with various skin imperfections: inflammation, wrinkles, cellulite and much more. And in terms of its popularity, for example, CelluDestock modeling gel with caffeine, aimed at combating cellulite, is not inferior to delicate creams for the care of sensitive facial skin.

Klorane is another “French” among pharmacy brands. It is distinguished by its “green” orientation - the plant extracts present in the compositions are responsible for the effectiveness of the products. By the way, Klorane is a pioneer in the use of plant extracts in cosmetics: the first product of this kind on the market was shampoo with chamomile extract from Klorane, released in 1965. Each Klorane extract is used to solve one specific problem. The brand's natural products are hypoallergenic. Klorane focuses on hair care, although the brand also has facial skin products in its arsenal. For example, makeup removing wipes for sensitive eyes with cornflower extract are popular - makeup artists often use them on the backstage of shows during fashion weeks. Not long ago, the brand released dry shampoos and thereby became part of the trend - express hair care products are now more relevant than ever.

If Klorane uses different plant extracts, then A-Derma products are based on a single extract of Realba oats, which stands out for its ability to moisturize, soothe and soften the skin, as well as protect it from negative external influences. The most notable of all A-Derma products are the cleansing ones, since they do not contain alkaline ingredients, and lye, as you know, is the main component of soap. The result is “soap-free soap,” which “behaves” with the skin very delicately and gently when washed, which is why A-Derma products in pharmacies—non-aggressive, non-irritating to the skin—usually do not hang around for a long time.
