Properties.
Boiled pumpkin has little nutritional value and goes down quickly. If for some reason it has not spoiled before digestion, then no bad juice is born from it. It spoils in the stomach if mixed with bad juices, or if it stays in the stomach for too long, as happens with all fruits. The juice generated by the pumpkin is tasteless unless it is overcome by something mixed with it. If you mix pumpkin with quince or with the juice of unripe grapes or pomegranate juice, then its juice is worthy of praise for people with yellow gall nature, but its harmfulness to the colon becomes twice as harmful. One of the properties of the pumpkin is that it produces a nutrient akin to that which accompanies it; if you eat pumpkin with mustard, it produces an acrid juice, and if you eat it with salt, it produces a salty juice, and with something astringent, an astringent juice. Generally speaking, pumpkin is bad for people with black gall and slimy natures and excellent for those with yellow gall. Pumpkin jam is not included in the list of medicines and does not cause either warming or cooling, but it is sometimes used for pleasure.
Respiratory system.
Pumpkin decoction is useful for cough and chest pain caused by fever.
Organs of the head.
Squeezed pumpkin juice, especially in a mixture! with rose oil, soothes hot ear pain. It helps with tumors in the brain, and is useful for sore throats.
Nutritional organs.
Pumpkin is useful for hot excesses in the stomach and expels them in the same way as wine, which is poured into the pumpkin and then consumed. Squeezed pumpkin juice is dripped into the nose for toothache. Pumpkin is one of the medicines that creates great moisture in the stomach; she stops thirsting. Unripe pumpkin is very harmful to the stomach, even to the stomach of teenagers and young men, and there is no other remedy for this problem except vomiting. The harmfulness of pumpkin to colon is very high.
Eruption organs.
If you boil pumpkin juice with honey and put soda in it, it softens the stomach. The same thing will happen if you bury a pumpkin in hot coals, bake it as it is, and then drink its juice with sugar. It is extremely harmful to the intestines and especially to the colon.
Fevers.
It is useful for bilious fevers.
