Cosmetic oils for problematic facial skin

When talking about cosmetology and oily skin, cosmetic or essential oil is rarely mentioned as a therapeutic and preventative agent. But in vain, because this is one of the paths leading to health.

It is believed that oils are unnecessary and even harmful for oily skin. But this is a misconception. Cleansing with alcohol means that the sebaceous glands begin to work with greater activity.. The lack of lubrication is perceived as a threat, and then fat is produced with renewed vigor. Also, the cause of hypersecretion of sebum can be a lack of essential amino acids that the product has.

Oils have many beneficial properties, the main thing is to choose the right product.

Suitable options

Vegetable oils have different chemical compositions, and therefore not all are equally beneficial. But what oils are suitable for oily skin?

Essential

Essential oils differ from real fats in that they do not leave characteristic stains on paper; they evaporate at room temperature.

Since they are formed only in plants, they have strong medicinal properties. They have learned to use this quality in cosmetology to improve the condition of problem skin.

In case of contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, rinse with water immediately. After contact with the undiluted drug, the skin is immediately washed.

Sometimes such preparations are used in their pure form from tea tree or black cumin - the liquid is lubricated on pimples, but applied only to the affected area.

Traditionally, tea tree oil is used in cosmetology for oily skin.. The chemical composition contains two components that provide an antimicrobial effect - cineole and terpinene.

Relieve inflammation, normalize hypersecretion of fat:

  1. eucalyptus;
  2. fennel;
  3. sandalwood;
  4. rosemary.
  5. Melissa;
  6. Schisandra chinensis;
  7. lemon;
  8. grapefruit;
  9. carnation;
  10. bergamot.

Yling-ylang, lavender, patchouli, chamomile soothe.

Although oily skin ages more slowly, it also needs toning and smoothing. In the first case, extracts from juniper, geranium, lemon, mint, rosemary, ginger are used, in the second - lavender, lemon.

Contraindication for use “esters” - individual intolerance to one component or mixture as a whole, as indicated by:

  1. respiratory dysfunction;
  2. increased heart rate;
  3. noise in ears; headache, dizziness;
  4. tachycardia;
  5. nausea;
  6. rash, redness, itching.

Basic

They are also called carriers, transport, fixed. Here are the oils that are suitable for oily skin types:

  1. apricot - restores cells, normalizes sebum production, improves complexion, has no restrictions or contraindications (except for individual intolerance);
  2. grape seed oil is odorless, light, soft, normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands, heals wounds;
  3. jojoba - regenerates, fights inflammation, being quite thick, not used in its pure form;
  4. calendula - destroys pathogenic microbes, heals (the label should contain the Latin name of the plant Calendula, and not Tagetes - African marigold), the most useful qualities of the product obtained through maceration;
  5. almond - eliminates inflammatory elements, prevents pores from enlarging;
  6. walnut - quickly absorbed, treats acne;
  7. St. John's wort - anti-inflammatory;
  8. peach oil - eliminates inflammation, increases elasticity, regenerates;
  9. black cumin - cleanses pores, treats acne, has a resolving, anti-inflammatory, regenerating effect;
  10. black currant seeds - whitens, kills bacteria;
  11. aloe - stimulates healing, fights inflammation, protects against infection.

Cosmetologists have not reached a common opinion about the possibility of using coconut oil for excess fat content. Opponents of its use claim comedogenicity - the ability to clog skin pores. Anyway, It is not applied to the skin in its pure form, but is used in a concentration of 10%.

It is believed that olive oil is only suitable for dry and combination skin, and is harmful to oily skin. This is not entirely true. Owners of this skin type can also use the product, but in masks and in combination with fermented milk products.

Successful combinations

It is useful to combine vegetable oils. Then synergy arises when one product enhances the effect of another. You can use only base oil on your own, but not just any oil. Those that are not suitable for self-application are mixed with other types of oils.

But how to compose such compositions correctly?

Cosmetic oils for oily skin do not conflict with each other, so they are combined as desired, but taking into account the characteristics of the skin. You can combine up to 4-5 types in one product, choosing an ensemble that suits your skin best. Carrier oils have virtually no odor, with the exception of those obtained from seeds and nuts.

For essential oils, different compatibility rules apply. They are classified according to high, medium and low volatility. It is recommended to take 2 drops of high volatility oil, 1-2 drops of medium volatility and 1 drop of low volatility oil. Of course, you can get by with just one scent.

Select scents carefully. You can do this using the picture with the “seven-colored” flower. Each color here corresponds to the name of the aroma group - floral, exotic, gum, spice, wood, herbs, citrus. The compounds are most harmonious if aromas are taken from one or neighboring groups.

Do you need cream?

But It is impossible to replace exclusively with oil the rest of the care for oily and problem skin. The skin needs different nutrition, and some vitamins and substances are not present in oil mixtures. In particular, this applies to water-soluble vitamins, fruit hydroacids, etc.

A film forms on the surface, interfering with oxygen access, breathing, and moisture supply. But the main drawback is the lack of water. Oil can be used, but only as an additional remedy, no more than 1-2 times a week, preferably after steaming the skin and peeling.

With constant use, the oil is applied only to moisturized skin, optimally - on moisturizers, which can be cream, floral water, hydrosol, etc. See the link for more details on how to moisturize oily facial skin.

conclusions

To use oil or not to risk it? There are no strict rules, and what is good for one person will cause the opposite reaction for another. The choice of oils should be approached carefully and tested. If during the first week of use there is no result or the condition worsens, then you should discard the product and replace it with another.

To prevent ready-made cosmetic mixtures from deteriorating and becoming rancid, store them in dark glass containers in a cool place. After use, wipe the neck of the bottle dry to prevent a rancid smell.

The best oils for oily skin types.

Hello, dear blog readers. Various oils have been firmly established in our lives for a very long time. Which, however, is not surprising. Has a pimple popped out? Do you have cracks on your lips? Have wrinkles become noticeable? The answer is simple - use cosmetic oils for your face instead of cream. Their effectiveness is explained by their rich chemical composition, high activity of natural components and the absence of harmful synthetic impurities.

Benefits of oils

Why oil, you ask. You can use your usual cream according to your skin type, and not waste time preparing homemade masks. You are right about this.

However, you will have to pay a lot of money for high-quality cosmetics, while oils cost pennies. Any cream works only in the superficial layers of the skin, but a natural product penetrates into deep structures and works at the cellular level.

Cosmetics give a positive effect while you use them, and oils have a long-lasting effect.

In addition, the likelihood of developing an allergy is possible only if there is an individual intolerance to natural components. While the cream includes many chemical additives, the skin reaction is quite difficult to predict.

Although to be fair, if you decide to use oil instead of cream, don't expect quick results. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of your skin only after 2-3 weeks of regular procedures.
