A crack forms in the uterus either as a result of a sharp, sudden drying out, especially during childbirth, or as a result of a tumor. At first it is invisible and the pain from it is hidden under the pain of childbirth, being, as it were, their remnant, and then it becomes obvious, especially when touched. Often the crack causes a strong thickening and sometimes becomes something like a wart, which remains even if the cracked area heals.
Signs of a crack. Sometimes it is possible to see a crack in a mirror, which is placed in front of a woman’s vagina, and then they open her vagina and look at what appears in the mirror. One indication of fissures is pain during intercourse and the penis coming out of the vagina bloody.
Treatment. The crack must be either inside or on the neck and adjacent areas. An internal fissure is treated with long-lasting suppositories and drips of astringent waters mixed with ointments that correct fissures, for example, ointments made from potassium and lead oxide, and ointment for anal fissures. Just as in the treatment of these cracks, everything that burns is avoided, and if it is necessary to induce some maturation, then, for example, a basilikun patch with fats is mixed with the medicines. If a large thickening has formed in the crack, and this is indicated by the long life of the crack and the fact that it is difficult to treat, then use an ointment made from papyrus paper with rose oil; if the patient does not tolerate this, then add iris oil and Nabatean resin with rose oil. And when the thickening falls off, they are treated with methods for treating simple cracks, especially if the crack has ulcerated. Sometimes even copper scale, finely ground, or vitriol with galls, or all of this together, is necessary. As for external cracks, strongly crushed tutia with egg yolk often relieves them from taking care of them, and this medicine is applied continuously, as well as an ointment made from white lead.
