A-Motoneuron

And the alpha motor neuron, or a motor neuron, plays a major role in the implementation of motor reactions of the body. Each fiber (Axon) branches, and 3-5 parallel axons can go from one motor neuron to the muscles; There is one motor neuron for each muscle fiber. Excitation from many motor neurons is summed up at the postsynaptic membrane and causes contraction of many muscle fibers. Motor neurons are divided into three groups: desirable (I), inhibitory (II), speed-power (III). They are divided into 6 types. Each of the three types of motor neurons contains both desirable and inhibitory subunits. These 18 types account for almost the entire number of known alpha neurons! Unfortunately, there are quite a few special studies on these types of brain cells compared to their structural part, and one can only assume that they are the basis for all motor functions - from swallowing to speech. The fibers of the anterior spinal cord consist almost exclusively of desirable motor neurons. The anterior spinomotor tract regulates the smooth and precise reproduction of movements, and it may also innervate gamma fibers that transmit signals from the skin to the anterior central gyrus cortex and regulate the pain threshold. Some motor neuron fibers are involved in the coordination of movements. The posterior spinomotor tract consists of inhibitory neurons; this is the control of balance and coordination, fine and spatial regulation of range of movements, actions in conjunction with associative motor areas.
