Abbe and lip surgery
***Hello! In my article I would like to talk about the American surgeon Harvey (Abbey) Abbe (1853-1941), who is one of the founders of lip plastic surgery.***
Biography of Abbe Plastic Harvey Bester Abbe was born on November 6, 1833 in Philadelphia. At the age of 16, he began working at the Laba Hospital. There he mastered the basics of anatomy, physiology, as well as the most popular methods of rehabilitation and treatment at that time. In 1873, Harvey Abbert opened his own clinic, and in 1889 he mastered a new method of feeding patients with artificial gastric juice. Ironically, at the 1903 meeting of the American Medical Association, Abbell was accused of illegal experimentation on humans, as it turned out that artificial juices caused severe allergies. Soon this case even came to trial, but it did not end in Philadelphia's favor. The man continued his medical practice, although he often heard ironic comments about the “living stomach,” which was different from the rest due to artificial nutrition. Despite the fact that many doctors ignored Herveilly's research, he eventually became one of the most famous plastic surgeons.
