Achenbach Syndrome

Achenbach syndrome

Achenbach syndrome is a mental disorder characterized by emotional instability, anxiety and depression.

This syndrome was first described by the German therapist W. Achenbach at the beginning of the 20th century. The main symptoms are:

  1. Increased anxiety, feeling of inner restlessness.

  2. Frequent mood swings, emotional instability.

  3. Attacks of depression, apathy, pessimism.

  4. Problems concentrating.

  5. Sleep disorders.

  6. Feelings of guilt, low self-esteem.

The causes of Achenbach syndrome are not fully understood. It is believed to be caused by an imbalance of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Risk factors include hereditary predisposition and past stress.

Treatment includes psychotherapy and drug therapy with antidepressants or tranquilizers. If you seek help in a timely manner, the prognosis is favorable.
