Additiva Magnesium is a medical drug that is used to treat various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. The drug is produced in Poland by NP Pharma and has the international name Magnesium carbonate. It belongs to the group of astringents, coatings and antacids of magnesium and calcium.

Dosage form Magnesium Additives - effervescent tablets. The active ingredient of the drug is magnesium carbonate. Contraindications to the use of Magnesium Additives include phenylketonuria. Side effects may include dyspepsia and diarrhea.

It should be noted that the drug interacts with many other drugs. Thus, it slows down the absorption of chlorpromazine, barbiturates, butadione, glucocorticoids, iron preparations (forms insoluble salts), m-anticholinergic agents, sulfonamides, tetracyclines and cimetidine. It also creates optimal conditions for the action of pancreatic enzymes (and their preparations), reduces the ulcerogenicity of NSAIDs and the likelihood of gastropathy. Phosphates, large doses of calcium and excess lipids reduce the absorption of magnesium.

Overall, Additiva Magnesium is an effective and safe drug for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. However, before using it, you should consult your doctor and read the instructions for use.
