Achilles surgery is an operation to cut the ligament (Achilles tendon) in a child.
Achilles thoraemia is the result of a rupture of the tendon when the leg is bruised while jumping in football or volleyball. Resumption of the supporting function of the Achilles and injuries to the ligamentous apparatus occurs at 15-25 years. Professional football players, people of different ages, track and field athletes, and hockey players are susceptible.
