The drug is available as a solution for intradermal administration in 3 ml ampoules containing 30 doses of the allergen.
Purified tuberculosis allergen is used to perform the Mantoux skin test to diagnose tuberculosis infection. The drug is injected intradermally into the volar surface of the forearm. The test result is assessed after 72 hours by the size of the papule and hyperemia at the site of allergen injection.
