An American scientist confirmed the existence of the so-called G-spot. The corresponding study was conducted by Adam Ostrzenski from the Institute of Gynecology in St. Petersburg (Florida). A report on this work was published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
Ostrzenski conducted a post-mortem examination of a woman who died at the age of 83. He studied the structure of the vaginal wall of the corpse layer by layer, where he expected to find the G-spot.
Scientists first started talking about the existence of this anatomical structure in women in the 1940s. It was about the thickening of the soft tissue between the anterior wall of the vagina and the urethra, the stimulation of which causes the most intense orgasm. However, at present, not all experts recognize the existence of the G-spot.
During the study, Ostrzenski discovered an anatomical structure that was located on the perineal membrane at a distance of 16.5 mm behind the external opening of the urethra. The scientist identified two lobes in the discovered structure: the lower, which he called the tail, and the upper, called the head.
According to the scientist, the G-spot he discovered is like a sac with well-defined walls, whose structure resembles both the corpora cavernosa and connective tissue. The width of the structure described by the researcher ranged from 1.5 to 3.5 mm with a length of 8 mm.
