Diphtheria toxoid with reduced antigen content is a liquid vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria. It contains purified toxoid (inactivated diphtheria toxin), which is reduced in quantity compared to the regular diphtheria vaccine.
Anatoxin stimulates the production of antibodies against diphtheria toxin, providing protection against this dangerous disease. The vaccine is produced in Russia by such companies as Biomed, Microgen, Immunopreparat, etc.
Used for vaccination of children and adults. It is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The vaccination course consists of several injections with an interval of 1-2 months. Revaccination is carried out every 10 years.
Diphtheria toxoid with a reduced antigen content has good immunogenicity and is less likely to cause adverse reactions compared to a vaccine containing the full antigen. This makes it preferable for primary immunization of children and persons with hypersensitivity to diphtheria toxoid.
