Aorta Narrow

A narrow aorta is a structural anomaly of the heart that can cause serious complications and even threaten a person’s life. This occurs due to a narrowing of the inner wall of the aorta, which is the largest artery in the body. Narrowing of the aorta can be caused by various reasons, such as congenital malformations, trauma or diseases related to the heart or

Aortic stenosis is characterized by various forms and degrees of narrowing of the aorta. As a rule, it occurs as a result of congenital obstruction of the passage in the aortopulmonary window and leads to a narrowing of the opening of the AoK valve up to 25%, which is accompanied by dysfunction of the valve apparatus in all patients with the aortic form. Abnormal forms of obstruction: aortic valve stenosis and accessory valves of the left atrium, coronary sinus defect.

Ventricular septal defect. Mainly found in patients with congenital defects, it is accompanied by an enlargement of the left ventricle. The defect is formed during embryonic development; the cause may be a viral, infectious lesion, or abnormalities of the immune system. With an increased volume of the heart, it becomes impossible for blood to move into the lungs; it accumulates in the right ventricle and pericardial sac. Malnutrition in the extremities leads to cramps, swelling, ascites and pressing pain in the chest during exercise are often observed.

Aortic defects interfere with the normal functioning of the heart and increase the risk of stroke and hypertension. Vascular murmurs indicate deterioration of the condition. The presence of the listed signs, assistance in diagnosis and treatment, and the choice of treatment determine the type of defect.
