Muscle Round Large

Muscles are groups of muscle fibers located on the surface of the body or inside it and united by a common function. There are three types of muscles: striated, smooth and cardiac. The main function of all muscles is to contract, and if the muscle works in one direction, we are talking about dynamic muscle activity; if the same movement is performed repeatedly in a row, with each repetition having a certain speed, rhythm and duration, it is a static activity. Various pathologies can develop in different muscles, including various types of muscular dystrophy.

The round muscle (lat. musculus teres major) is a muscle on the back surface of the pectoralis major muscle. Function - extension of the shoulder, supination of the shoulder girdle and coracoid process of the scapula.
