Apical Abscess

Apical Abscess is an abscess around the top of a tooth. An acute abscess is extremely painful, causing swelling of the jaw and sometimes part of the face. Usually its development is associated with the death and infection of the dental pulp. Treatment involves drainage, root canal treatment of the dental pulp, or tooth extraction.



An abscess is an inflammatory focus with purulent contents, which is formed as a result of bacterial inflammation of tissues. An abscess can be localized in various organs and tissues of the human body. Very often it is found in the maxillofacial area, arising
