Arteriosinus anastomosis

The arterial and sinus anastomosis is an anatomical formation that occurs when an artery and one of the cavities of the heart are connected (anastomosis). According to the method of formation, open and closed anastomoses are distinguished. Open anastomosis are formed by penetration of one wall of the artery into the lumen of the heart cavity and protrusion of its mucous membrane into this lumen. Closed anastomoses arise as a result of partial, incomplete anastomosis between the walls of the artery and the cavity of the heart. Arterial and sinus anastomoses are dangerous congenital anomalies of the heart, since they are often accompanied by the noise of regurgitation of blood through them (aortic murmur
