Arteritis Purulent-Necrotic

Purulent necrotizing arteritis (also known as idiopathic fibroplastic arteritis) is a rare disease that is characterized by damage to the vessels of arteries and medium-sized arteries. However, the term “arteritis” should not cause misunderstanding - it is usually used in medicine as a broader concept compared to the terms angiitis and endoarteritis, which, not least because of the meaning of the use of these concepts, are most often used in the scientific literature.

This disease occurs mainly in older people and after 60 years of age. The disease can be asymptomatic for a long time and detected only when acute and severe heart failure develops, which requires hospitalization.

Symptoms of the disease may be noticeable for months or even years. They are usually associated with worsening symptoms of other diseases and health problems caused by disease progression. These include: - pain in the chest, chest; - shortness of breath; - muscle weakness;

The disease is accompanied by damage to organs and systems of the body. This affects the heart and coronary arteries, pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder and other organs. In such cases, the function of the corresponding organs sharply decreases, which leads to coronary heart disease (CHD), impaired functioning of the kidneys, respiratory system, etc.
