Composition - Active ingredient - Timolol.

Indications for use:

  1. Orally: arterial hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, mitral valve prolapse, angina pectoris, prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction, migraine (prevention of attacks), essential tremor, anxiety.
  2. Locally: increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma (open-angle, secondary, aphakia, etc.).

Contraindications:

  1. For oral and local administration: hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma (including a history), chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, cardiogenic shock, acute and chronic heart failure, AV block II-III degree, sinoatrial block, sinus bradycardia (less than 45- 50 beats/min), sick sinus syndrome;
  2. When applied topically: dystrophic diseases of the cornea, severe allergic inflammation of the nasal mucosa, breastfeeding, early childhood (premature and newborn babies).
  3. Restrictions on use: Pulmonary emphysema, non-allergic chronic bronchitis, vasomotor rhinitis, Raynaud's disease, impaired liver and/or kidney function, acidosis, diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, myasthenia gravis, old age, pregnancy, for systemic use - children's age.

Side effect:

  1. From the nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, headache, asthenia, fatigue, sleep disturbance, insomnia, nightmares, depression, agitation, hallucinations, short-term amnesia, spatial disorientation, paresthesia, increased symptoms of myasthenia gravis; noise in ears; eye irritation, blurred vision, diplopia, ptosis, dry eye mucosa; when applied topically: transient blurred vision (from 30 s to 5 min - 6%), burning and itching in the eyes, sensation of a foreign body in the eye, changes in refraction and visual acuity, lacrimation, photophobia, decreased sensitivity of the cornea, swelling of the corneal epithelium, inflammation eyelid margins, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, superficial punctate keratopathy, keratitis.
  2. From the respiratory system: nasal congestion, chest pain, cough, shortness of breath, suffocation, bronchospasm (possibly fatal), respiratory failure.
  3. From the cardiovascular system (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): palpitations, symptomatic bradycardia, arrhythmia, AV block, cardiac arrest, heart failure (possible death), hypotension, collapse, Raynaud's syndrome, cold extremities, exacerbation of intermittent claudication, transient cerebrovascular accident blood circulation, cerebral ischemia, syncope, decreased hemoglobin, hematocrit.
  4. From the gastrointestinal tract: dry mouth, anorexia, dyspeptic symptoms, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
  5. From the skin: rash, urticaria, exacerbation of psoriasis, itching, prurigo, alopecia.
  6. Other: angioedema, withdrawal syndrome, weight change, lupus syndrome, decreased libido, impotence, Peyronie's disease, hyperkalemia, hyperuricemia, hypertriglyceridemia.

Interaction:

  1. Increases (mutually) the likelihood of disorders of automatism, conduction and contractility of the heart against the background of amiodarone, sympatholytics, diltiazem
