Vestibular aura is a disorder of the inner ear that can cause people to feel dizzy, nauseated, lost balance and other symptoms. This is a condition in which the function of the vestibular apparatus, located in the pyramids of the temporal bones, is disrupted. Aura can appear in both adults and children. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including head injuries, infections and nervous system disorders.
Things can make you feel dizzy. This sensation occurs due to a disruption in the functioning of your vestibular and auditory systems. If these systems are not working well, your senses become heightened and you begin to feel strange movements or dizziness when you stand, move, or turn your head. This phenomenon is called vestibular aura.
