Diverticulosis

Diverticulosis is an inflammation of intestinal diverticula.

Diverticula or diverticula (popularly pouch-like protrusions) are formed due to difficulty in bowel movement. They are usually filled with intestinal contents, in which fibrin and leukocytes are deposited, forming a “clot.”

The development of diverticulosis is caused by general and local circulatory disorders of the intestinal loops, impaired intestinal motor function, chronic constipation, prolonged fecal loads, overeating, a sedentary lifestyle, and excessive food consumption. In the development of the disease, preclinical and clinical stages are distinguished. In the first stage, anatomical inferiority of the intestine is observed, in the second, aseptic or infectious inflammation of the sac occurs, at the bottom
