Technical bacteriology

Bacteriological laboratories play an important role in various fields of human activity. Due to the large number of dangerous and harmful microorganisms today, it is necessary to have the most accurate means for their identification. The data obtained by such laboratories can be used to conduct environmental assessments of the construction of buildings and industrial facilities; determining the causes of complications and infectious diseases

Technical bacteriology is a subsection of industrial bacteriology - a field of microbiology that deals with the use of microorganisms for the production of various products and industrial processes.

The goal of technical bacteriology is to create and optimize conditions for optimal growth of bacterial populations in order to ensure maximum productivity in the production process. For example, if the product to be produced by a process contains substances that are sensitive to light (dyes or flavors), then it is important to have microorganisms that will produce these substances in the dark to avoid spoilage of the product.
