Barbituromania

Barbituromania is a disorder in which a person becomes heavily dependent on barbiturates, drugs used medically to reduce stress and anxiety. Barbiturates have a sedative effect on the nervous system, which leads to decreased arousal and muscle relaxation. However, long-term use of these drugs can lead to addiction and mental disorders.

Symptoms of barbituromania may include insomnia, decreased mood, irritability, fatigue, apathy, drowsiness, loss of memory and concentration, problems with thinking and speech, hallucinations and
