Team Method in Healthcare

A team form of polyclinic care is an organizational form of polyclinic service in which a doctor is assigned to a therapeutic (precinct) or pediatric department, and doctors of narrow specialties work at the reception in a polyclinic.

With the team method, preventive examinations of workers at enterprises are carried out, systematic examinations and treatment of patients at home are carried out, and dispensary observation is carried out for persons suffering from chronic diseases.

The use of the team method contributes to a more active involvement of patients in systematic treatment, improved diagnosis, timely hospitalization, improved quality of treatment and reduction of temporary disability.

In general, the team method is an effective form of organizing medical care to the population, allowing for high accessibility of medical care for all categories of citizens, improving the quality of medical care and reducing the costs of providing it.
