Bronchiectasis Cylindrical

Bronchiectasis is a common disease in the human population. They arise as complications of various types of inflammatory diseases. As they develop, dilatations of the bronchi are formed. The main cause of the pathology is a lack of immune defense. Cylindrical bronchiectasis is one of the rare forms. Its cause is the consequences of a complicated infectious disease - pneumococcal pneumonia. This form is registered in patients with severe pneumonia. If the pathology is accompanied by dystrophic changes in the parenchyma of the lung tissue, it is called polysegmental. Pneumonia is characterized by a gradual development and often a person learns about it by accident if he does not undergo an annual scheduled medical examination. A characteristic symptom is a dry paroxysmal cough with the discharge of purulent sputum.
