Cephaloton is an antibiotic from the group of first-generation cephalosporins, which has a wide spectrum of action and is used in the treatment of various infections, including sepsis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and skin infections. Its active ingredient, cephalothin, was first synthesized in Bulgaria in 1954. Cephalotones are produced both by pharmaceutical companies in Bulgaria and in other countries of the world, for example in the USA and Great Britain.
Cephaloton has a number of indications for use, however, it is worth noting that when using it, you must strictly follow the instructions for use and the doctor’s recommendations. It is also not recommended for pregnant and lactating women, as well as patients with individual intolerance to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Side effects that may occur when using cephaloton include gastrointestinal disorders, kidney disorders, candidiasis, allergies and phlebitis. If side effects occur, seek medical attention immediately. It is important to note that cephaloton may interact with other antibiotics and cause more serious side effects. Therefore, when antibiotics are used together, you should closely monitor for side effects and possible changes in the patient's condition.
