Sequence tripartite is an annual herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family, up to 90 cm high. The root is small, branched. The stem is straight, reddish, branched.

Branches and leaves are opposite. The leaves are dark green, three- or five-parted, with short, winged petioles.

Blooms from July to September. The flowers are yellow, collected in baskets, located singly at the ends of the branches. The fruit is an achene with two ribs and hook-shaped denticles.

Ripens in August - September.

The tripartite series is distributed throughout almost the entire European territory of Russia, Siberia, Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Far East. It grows along the banks of streams, lakes, in damp meadows, fields, swamps and ditches.

The plant was brought into cultivation. Prefers moist, well-drained areas. The best predecessors are grain crops.

While digging, 4 kg of manure or compost and 3 g of complete mineral fertilizer are added to the soil at the rate of 8-10 g per 1 m2. The optimal time for sowing seeds is 1 - 1.5 months before the onset of persistent cold weather. When sown in winter, the seeds are scarified; when sown in early spring, they are scarified and stratified.

They are sown with row spacing of 60 cm, planted to a depth of 2.5-3 cm. Care consists of loosening the soil four or five times to a depth of 5-8 cm and weeding.

The medicinal raw material is herbs.

Leafy tops and side shoots up to 15 cm long or individual leaves are collected during the budding period and quickly dried, laid out in a thin layer in the sun, under a canopy or in a dryer at a temperature of 45-50 ° C, turning over often. Readiness is determined by the degree of fragility.

Store in bags or closed wooden containers for 2 years.

The herb contains essential oil, tannins and bitter substances, ascorbic acid, carotene, flavonoid pigments and trace elements.

The drugs have diuretic, diaphoretic, anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, hemostatic, antiseptic and wound-healing effects.

They are used as a bitter and as a digestive aid.

Among the people, the series is widely used to treat skin diseases of an allergic nature - diathesis, neurodermatitis and skin rashes. The greatest effect is achieved in a mixture with the roots of elecampane, burdock and wheatgrass, St. John's wort, lungwort, tricolor violet and celandine, branches of viburnum, sea buckthorn and black currant.

When treating, the infusion is prescribed internally and externally.

The series is used in the form of baths, lotions and dressings. It promotes drying of the affected area of ​​the body and rapid epithelization of the skin.

The infusion is useful for washing hair affected by seborrhea. To prepare it, pour 3 tablespoons of raw material into 1 glass of hot water, boil over low heat for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes and filter. Take 1/3-1/2 cup 3 times a day with meals.

Alcoholic extract of string is effective for the treatment of psoriasis. Take it 20 drops 3 times a day before meals. The affected areas of the skin are lubricated with ointment with string extract.

For furunculosis, an infusion of a mixture of string and lingonberry leaves, taken equally, is prescribed. To prepare it, pour 1 tablespoon of raw material into 1 glass of boiling water, leave for 1 hour and filter. Take 1/4 cup 4 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

The course of treatment is 2 weeks.

The industry produces briquettes of string grass, divided into 10 cloves. One slice is poured with 1 cup of boiling water, covered with a thick cloth, left for 10 minutes and filtered. Take 1 tablespoon in the morning and evening. Use 1 glass of infusion for a bath.
