Cofan Instant: a combination of analgesic, antipyretic and caffeine to relieve pain and reduce fever

Cofan Instant is a combination drug designed to relieve pain of various etiologies and reduce body temperature during colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases. It contains three active substances: paracetamol, propyphenazone and caffeine.

The manufacturer of Cofan Instant is the Bosnalek company from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the international name of the drug is Paracetamol + Propyphenazone + Caffeine. It is also sold under the synonyms Adolorin, Gevadal and Saridon in tablet form.

Indications for use of Cofan Instant include pain of various etiologies, including headache, toothache, migraine pain, neuralgia, myalgia, sciatica, post-traumatic and postoperative pain, dysmenorrheic pain. In addition, it can be used to reduce elevated body temperature during colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases.

However, the drug has a number of contraindications. Cofan Instant should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to its components, severe impairment of liver or kidney function, genetic absence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, glaucoma, anemia, leukopenia, increased excitability, insomnia, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris. It is also undesirable to use the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as in children under 12 years of age. Should not be combined with alcoholic beverages.

Cofan Instant may cause side effects such as allergic skin reactions, nausea, vomiting, palpitations, dizziness, sleep disturbances, and blood system disorders. With long-term use in high doses, hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic effects are possible.
