Common features

“General Features” is a game that allows children to develop insight, observation and the ability to analyze the world around them. It consists of searching for common characteristics in people and objects that are around.

The game takes place in the form of a conversation, where each participant notices a specific object and begins to count how many such objects are nearby. For example, a child notices a person wearing glasses, and everyone begins to count how many people around them wear glasses. You can look for people in brown shoes, blondes, dogs of the same breed, and so on.

This game can also be used to introduce older children to the concept of percentages. To do this, you can set a task in advance that the child will have to solve. For example, how many of the ten dogs you meet are lap dogs? How many black cars are there out of ten in the parking lot? And, most importantly, will this ratio be observed at the next stop?

Thus, the game "Common Features" helps develop observation, analysis and counting skills, and also teaches children to find common features between various objects and phenomena. It may also be useful for introducing statistical concepts and measures such as percentages.
