**The corpus luteum of pregnancy (CLP)** is an important formation in a woman’s body, participating in the process of gestation. It is called the reproductive organ, which provides nutrition to the embryo of the unborn child and is in a special state during this period - the blastocyst. It is formed at the site of implantation of the fertilized egg into the uterine cavity after a woman becomes a mother.
