Corvalho's sign involves a lack of hand movement when attempting to grasp a cup, and in some cases the patient may refuse the cup entirely and drink only from a spoon or bowl. However, anxiety, euphoria and cognitive impairment are observed. This symptom occurs during withdrawal syndrome that occurs after prolonged abuse of alcoholic beverages against the background of various diseases associated with liver function.
