Indications for use:

  1. Systemic connective tissue diseases, systemic vasculitis, bronchial asthma, status asthmaticus, bronchitis, liver diseases, ulcerative colitis, enteritis, nephrotic syndrome, toxic neuropathy, polyneuritis, allergic diseases, adrenogenital syndrome, autoimmune hepatitis, glomerulonephritis, Addison's disease, immune hemolytic anemia, radiculitis, thrombocytopenia, hematoblastosis, hemetosarcoma, pemphigus, eczema, itching, exfoliative dermatitis, psoriasis, prurigo, seborrheic dermatitis, erythroderma, allergic conjunctivitis and blepharitis, inflammation of the cornea, scleritis and episcleritis, sympathetic ophthalmia, chronic arthritis, rheumatic myocarditis and icarditis, epicondylitis , tendovaginitis, bursitis, glenohumeral periarthritis, keloids, sciatica, Dupuytren's contracture.

Contraindications:

  1. Peptic ulcer disease, decompensated diabetes mellitus, severe arterial hypertension, active form of tuberculosis, ospeoporosis, Itsenko-Cushing's disease, glaucoma, systemic mycoses, acute viral infection, productive symptoms in mental illness. Viral and bacterial eye diseases, primary glaucoma, corneal diseases with epithelial damage. Bacterial, fungal, viral skin lesions, tuberculosis, syphilis, skin tumors, pregnancy.

Side effect:

  1. Erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastric mucosa, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, arterial hypertension, psychosis, Itsenko-Cushing syndrome, tachycardia, weakness, hypokalemia, fluid retention, adrenal insufficiency, decreased tissue repair processes, immunosuppression, decreased muscle mass, withdrawal syndrome, exacerbation underlying disease (after withdrawal).

Interaction:

  1. Strengthens the anticoagulant effect of anticoagulants, increases the likelihood of gastrointestinal bleeding due to salicylates, disturbances of electrolyte metabolism due to diuretics, and the risk of intoxication with cardiac glycosides. Reduces the hypoglycemic effect of antidiabetic drugs, antibacterial - rifampicin.

Overdose:

  1. Symptoms: headache, convulsions, heart failure, urticaria, rash, severe itching, fainting, soon after taking the drug. Treatment: stop taking. Urgent medical attention is required.

Special instructions:

  1. During the day, it is prescribed taking into account the circadian rhythm of endogenous secretion of corticosteroids (at 6-8 am). During treatment, observations by an ophthalmologist, monitoring of blood pressure, water-electrolyte balance, plasma sugar levels, and regular tests of peripheral blood cell counts are required. To reduce side effects, the prescription of anabolic steroids is justified, as well as an increase in potassium intake. In Addison's disease, concomitant use of barbiturates should be avoided. For nonspecific infections and tuberculosis, use with caution. At the end of the course, it is recommended to consider the need for ACTH administration.
