Dienoestrol

Dienoestrol is a synthetic female sex hormone (see Estrogen); is prescribed orally to treat symptoms of menopause, suppress lactation, and relieve symptoms of malignant brain or prostate tumors. It is also used in the form of a cream to reduce itching and inflammation of the vagina or to treat acne. Trade name: Ortho Dienoestrol.



Dienoestrol is a synthetic analogue of the female sex hormone estrogen, which is used to treat various diseases in women. It was developed in the 1930s and has since been used to treat menopausal symptoms and suppress lactation.

Dienoestrol is also used as a medicine to treat malignant tumors of the brain and prostate gland, as well as to reduce itching and inflammation in the vagina.

Orthodienoestrol is the trade name for dienoestrol, which is produced in the form of tablets, capsules or cream. Orthodienoestrol can be prescribed by a doctor to treat certain conditions in women, but its use must be strictly under the supervision of a doctor.

**Indications for use**

Endocrine gland of female germ cells. Contraception; correction of insufficiency or deficiency of estrogen-containing drugs; primary and secondary estrogen deficiency as a result of general and some genital gynecological diseases; kidney and liver disease; endometrial hyperplasia and cancer; menopause; prevention of spontaneous abortions; growth retardation in girls; malnutrition caused by hypopituitarism and gigantism in adults; premature puberty in girls and boys in the prepubertal period, with hypogenitalism after pelvic irradiation, craniopharyngioma, arachnoiditis; reducing the frequency of recurring migraine attacks; urticaria, erythema nodosum, pseudopolyposis cutis, Adler-Lemke disease, primary amyloidosis; decreased skin turgor and elasticity.
